Want to represent your Girl Scout Council? We're looking for active Girl Scouts and adult members to serve as our council's delegates at the 2023 National Girl Scout Session in Florida! All members ages 14 and up are invited to apply by January 15, 2022, to be a voting delegate with the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable experience.
In July 2023, the National Girl Scout Council will convene its next triennial session. Every Girl Scout council is entitled to send a number of delegates to serve as voting members of the National Council. National delegates and alternates are selected by our Board Development Committee from the applications received. The applicants will then be presented to our council's membership for adoption at the Annual Meeting in April 2, 2022.
Take a look at the delegate position description below and then submit your application. If you have any questions, please reach out to Krista Wagner at kwagner@gskh.org.
If chosen to be one of our voting delegates, you will:
- represent GSKH at the 2023 National Council Session/56th National Convention of Girl Scouts of the USA in July 2023 in Orlando, Florida (all associated expenses paid!)
- help elect the National Board of Directors
- make decisions about the future of the Girl Scout movement during a three-year term (April 2022 to April 2025)
- GSKH is searching for a highly qualified pool of candidates for a limited number of voting member positions.
Who can become a voting delegate?
Registered adult members and Girl Scouts who are 14 years of age and up are eligible to serve as National Voting Members.
