Our Properties
At Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland camps, girls build their leadership skills, develop lifelong friendships, and challenge themselves to try new things – all while being supported by a team of trained staff members and leaders.
Girl Scout camp is for every girl! No experience is required. At our camps, girls are empowered to step outside their comfort zone, take risks and grow as leaders. All programs and activities are tailored to the personalities and interests of girls entering Kindergarten through 12th grade. They’re encouraged to become the best they can be, learn to care for and protect the environment, and feel proud to be part of their camp community – a village for girls!

Troops and service units can reserve a camp property for a day or overnight adventure. At least one volunteer with the group must be certified in First Aid & CPR and trained in Outdoor Camping skills. Additional certifications may be required for specialized activities. Upcoming trainings can be found here.

Our properties can be reserved for non-Girl Scout purposes such as weddings, family reunions, and corporate retreats. Please note that the prices in CheckFront are greatly subsidized to provide affordable Girl Scout experiences to troops and service units. Camp Starwoods, our premier outdoor property, has 16 different areas for day or overnight use! Enjoy a campfire at Ceremony Island, nature and water-related activities, sports, camping, hiking, art projects, cook-outs, astronomy, and much more.

Camp Four Winds

Visitors to this camp love the treehouse built on stilts! Camp Four Winds also offers a compass center, activity building, platform huts, areas for primitive camping, a 40-acre lake, and hiking areas – perfect for any adventurous outdoor experience.
Camp Double E

This 8.3-acre camp on the Neosho River, just northwest of Emporia, has two shelter houses, a gazebo, hiking trails and offers a variety of sporting options.
