Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland is committed to making sure that Girl Scouting is open to all girls in our geographic area. We offer Financial Assistance options for membership, uniforms and camp opportunities to assist girls building courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place.

Financial Assistance Options & Guidelines

Financial Aid

Our Financial Aid program offers girls and adults the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouting. Financial Aid for the annual Girl Scout membership fee may be requested while completing the online membership registration process. An application is not needed for Girl Scouts of the USA membership dues.

Council Cares

Our Council Cares program offers girls the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouting. Council Cares may be awarded to a currently registered Girl Scout to purchase a uniform (tunic or sash), uniform components (troop numerals, council id set, flag set), and/or a Journey book (if the troop will be completing a journey together). Fill out the online Council Cares application here.

A Council Cares application is not needed for Girl Scouts of the USA membership dues.

Council Cares awards are granted only to current registered Girl Scouts.
Council Cares awards are granted based on the financial need
and availability of funds, with priority given to first-time applicants.
Council Cares awards are not designed to replace cookie credits
earned by Girl Scouts.
Council Cares awards may be requested for part or the entire amount needed and may be approved in whole, in part, or denied.
This form must be completed by the parent/guardian.
Do not pay in advance for uniform items or Journey book and then request a refund.
Incomplete applications will be returned to the parent/guardian and will need to be resubmitted for consideration.
Please allow one to two weeks for a reply and please ensure you list your preferred method of communication where indicated.

Campership Application

Campership awards are granted only to current registered Girl Scouts.
Campership awards are granted based on the financial need and availability of funds, with priority given to first-time applicants.
Campership awards are not designed to replace cookie credits earned by Girl Scouts.
Campership awards may be requested for part or the entire program registration free and may be approved in whole, in part, or denied.
The form must be completed by the parents/guardians.
Campership applications for an event or summer program must be submitted at least four weeks prior to the event.
Do not pay in advance for program registration fee and then request a refund.
