Program Aide Award
When girls guide or teach others, they act as mentors. Teen mentoring is a win-win situation! One way you can be a teen mentor is to become a Cadette Program Aide. You will deepen your understanding of what leadership development means and get excited about guiding others! You, too, can learn to be a champion mentor that delivers fun with purpose to younger Girl Scouts. Learn more through the Program Aide Training and Program Aide Bingo. Silver, Silver and Gold, and Gold Torch Awards
These awards recognize Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors who act as leaders in their communities! Pin is purchased by member. Click here for the application.
Community Service Bars
When you earn the Cadette, Senior or Ambassador Community Service bar, you are making a difference in your community and practicing the values of the Girl Scout Law. It's also a great way to get involved with a particular cause you care about! Pin is purchased by member. Click here for the Community Service Bar application.
To earn the bar, first choose an organization you'd like to volunteer with. The organization will need to agree to give you instructions about the work you'll be doing. Once you've chosen your organization, complete at least 20 hours of service to earn the bar.
Service to Girl Scouting Bars
If you choose to volunteer at least 20 hours to the Girl Scout
organization, you can receive the Cadette Service to Girl Scouting
bar. For example, you might volunteer your time at a special
event for younger Girl Scouts, be an
office assistant for your council or service unit, or help with

To earn the bar, complete at least 20 hours of service to the Girl Scout organization.
Counselor-in-Training (CIT) I & II
Mentor young girls in a camp setting as you build skills toward becoming a camp counselor! Pin is provided by the council. This course is offered through the Camp Pathway. The training includes regular hours devoted to classes, plus actual experience in camp units where the CIT works directly with girls under the supervision of an adult volunteer. Earn the CIT I and II Pin after completion of training at camp. This is offered prior to summer camp via our online registration system. Complete all steps to earn the award:
1. Must be a Senior (CIT I) or an Ambassador (CIT II)
2. Take a leadership course designed by your council on outdoor experiences.
3. Work with younger girls over the course of a camp session.
